Professor Pedro Bicudo, Chairman of the environmental association SOS – Save our Surf, received the Paez first prize of the Month on behalf of Paez and the National Association of Surfing (ANS). He was awarded May’s Paez award of the Month, which aims to give recognition to the Surfers who contribute the most to the development of the sport.
The judges took into account the efforts made by SOS – Save our Surf during the month of May of 2010 in order to become recognized as a NGO (Non Governmental Environmental Organization), but above all due to his constant hard work for SOS at St. Amaro, Carcavelos, Costa da Caparica and recently Cabedelo.
The award was dedicated to SOS – Save our Surf, and was received by Vice-President Pedro Monteiro. In his speech, Pedro Monteiro emphasized the SOS campaign to reach the required 2000 members for the organization to be able to register as an NGO Non Governmental Environmental Organization.
